Port Engine blown gasket between no. 1 and no, 3. Head was warped, resurfacing both heads and the block is fine/flat. also to intake valves were damaged due to poor adjustment after a rocker roller replacement that started knocking/clicking. Engine is scheduled to be ready by Friday May 15th.
While it is out new bottom paint, prop shaft anodes need replacing, the others look okay at first inspection. Also installing four blade props 15 x 14.5. Hope to have it back in the water in two to three weeks.

Hey Jeff, is there an easy fix for prop wash on the rudders?

Not sure what you mean. Please elaborate.

PS: The Engine Masters series (Motor Trend TV and Amazon video) did a neat dyno test of 360 vs. 408 cube SB Mopars.

Do you mean the paint that is ripped off the rudders from the props? There is no known method that I have found. Every year I try to wire wheel them a bit and slop some paint. No matter what you do the props will blow the paint off.
Maybe if you did not use ablative paint? But then you would be growing muscles & barnacles, depending on fresh or salt water.

chiming in - again, if you mean keeping paint on rudders. Only way to keep them painted is to never turn the boat...always go straight. No way that will happen of course. But do paint them to start the season and slow the growth of critters.

Solved that problem once and for all on mine--I made new ones out of stainless!

I know--I cheated.

Hi guys I'm going to try Prop Speed's product on my running gear and see how well it holds up, nothing has stuck to the shafts, rudders or trim tabs so far. The boat is on a hard stand in the boat yard and should be back in water in the next couple of weeks and the trial will began.

Blue Sky back in the water, port engine repaired. Mechanic ran it she turned 4100 rpm with throttle left, not sure on the speed. New bottom paint and the 4 blade props installed. She is pretty stripped presently. Give me few days to sort out minor issues and will post engine rpm/speed numbers.
