Politicals & this board

Post by jralbert »

Confessing that I have deeply held political feelings. And I am not often shy about discussing where I stand. But not everywhere. Believe it or not, I do try to shut my big mouth at times. There are places of refuge including the band stand where I play often with folks I disagree with and with discussion of only the fun and mysteries of making music. Not civic stuff. Somehow, we have figured out where we stand on controversies, agree to disagree and that's that.

Another place of refuge is right here on the M board where in more than two decades of discussion I've never seen politics rear its complicated (and yes, sometimes unfriendly) head. Differences and talking about them are healthy - at other places and times. I for one, need a break.

I'm opting and hoping that we keep it that way. Wouldn't that be nice?

Hoping you agree.
