Hull Plating thickness

Post by Maestro »

I don't have any manuals or brochures for my boat...anyone know the bottom plate/side plate thickness on a 1970 28' express?

I know these thicknesses changed slightly over the years. Thanks...

I have a plug from a transducer install on a 1989 28' Fisherman. It appears to 5/32" - 3/16". I don't have proper mic to check.

P 14 of the owners manual says the bottom plating for 28'/32' boats is 5/32nds. For 37' boats it's 3/16ths. Best I can make out (the scan was somewhat fuzzy), side/top plating is 1/8th. The manual was from a 1988 32' (my former) boat. Hope that helps/
