Picking up my 37' DC in the end of April. Does anyone have pictures of their dinghy davits? I'm assuming I'll have to have some brackets fabricated, possibly the whole system. Just looking for some ideas.

Thanks, Ted

We used the Weaver Arc Davits. They work well.

I like it. Do you have any extra support for the engine side, or is it fine?

There are no extra supports, just the two arc davits. The dinghy is 11'6" and weighs around 125 pounds (aluminum hull and transom). The motor is a 15 H.P. Two stroke it weighs around 75 pounds. I bolted the motor to the transom. The rear arc is bolted to the transom of the dinghy. The front arc bolts through the floor. There is no load on the tubes of the dinghy.
I have two standoffs at the top to hold it in position. I cris cross lines from bow to stearn to keep it from swaying from side to side while under way and tie lines from the bow and stearn of the dinghy to the stearn cleats of the boat to take the load off from the standoffs.
