Hi everybody I was wondering if someone has a source for the hardware for opening and closing of the lower helm windows. Thx Harry. BigM

it's a tricky little piece to replace but I have a cheap alternative: Cut, trim, sand, stain, a small block of wood. Say, 1" x 3" or so. About 1/4 to 1/2 " thick and silicone glue to window. It will give the needed finger hold.

Are you talking about sliding windows? I have those on the sides of my cabin. I bought 2 in diameter glass discs from a lab supply and applied them with silicone. Works great. They are about 1/4 thick.

Thanks for the replies. I'm talking about the forward looking windows that have a rod and sliding adjuster that has a locking knob. Parts of mine are in poor shape and need replaced. Thx. BigM

You mean this:

8" seems pretty short though. This outfit seems to have other sizes, but none longer than 8" in stock:

You might try these folks--I've never been there but the place looks like a boater's dream: http://marine-sales.com/contact.html

Good luck.

Thanks Rockit those are indeed the style I need just not quite big enough.I think for now I'll just take it apart and re-tap the sliding lock to a slightly larger set screw and and live with the corrosion on the stanchions, thx Harry.
