I'm in need of a divorced choke spring for one my my Rochester quadrajets in my 318's and I can't seem to find any. Anyone have a source for the choke springs or an electric conversion kit that works? Any help would be appreciated, motors are 1987's.

Bruce rebuilt my carbs and distributors this winter, Lakeland said they can't get the springs anymore but Bruce has been on vacation and they said he might have a solution, we will see. I'll try the other link out.

Bruce said they aren't available anywhere, only option is finding used. I'm going to try retrofitting the spring from a SBC divorced choke into my current housing.

I am not familiar with these springs but.. Did you try the hardware store? They usually have a large selection of springs.. Sounds stupid but I've found several springs that were "unavailable" under a particular application there. Someone somewhere is using that same spring for something else. Rochester bought those springs from someone, they didnt make them for that carb only.. I wouldn't think. Also, try a spring supplier.. There is a place here in Akron called Akron Welding and Spring. Every spring from the tiniest to the hugest. Probably a place like that in Sandusky or wherever. What about the Granger catalog? Just some thoughts.. Or maybe even Summit Racing.. Happy hunting!
