Prop Sizes?

I've got a 28 express with a single 318 engine that needs a propeller. There is not one there right now (stolen).
The engine is professionally rebuilt and has a velvet drive. Before I put it in the water, I need a prop and can't find any reasonable info on what I need!
The only articles I find are debates and theory about how to spec the best prop based on max rpms, etc. Nothing in the way of what came with the damn boat or consensus as to what a good replacement is.
Sooooooooo, any ideas? The weather is beautiful, wish I was out there
Thanks,
D

I have a 72 28' Express, Single 318 that is running a Michigan 14RH10, believe the shaft size is 1" but someone else will have to verify that. Boat is new to me and only drove it 5 miles to load on the trailer, were it still sits, so can't verify if this is the original size prop.
The original Marinette website, under performance, gave prop sizes for all models so you might find it there.
Good luck

I got my hands on a 14x10 but was told it wasn't the correct prop for speed reasons -I don't want it to go any slower than it already does

The 14x10 is used on the 360 single screws. You need a 14x9RH 1" shaft.

Did anyone copy the chart that was on John's Marinette website before it went down
And if so would you please repost it on the "Marinette Boat Forum".
Thanks
bill

Since I have a 14/10 instead of the correct 14/9, what are we talking about as far as performance?

I think I have that printed at home.
I know I have the GPH / RPM / MPH printed somewhere.
I will check when I get home from work.
