starter toggle switch

So Ms. Starboard starts and runs great for maybe 30 minutes to an hour and then stalls. If I turn the ignition switch off and then back on the engine will start only to stall after a bit. She has all new ignition system including the coil. I think that toggle switch is heating up and shorts out killing power to the distributor. Any comments are appreciated. BTW got new batteries last fall. The power goes off the gauges too.

Could be that, or a loose connection on the switch (or elsewhere).

I replaced both of my toggle switches with regular key switches (West Marine) and that helped a lot with the "mysterious" electrical problems I was having. Look for a switch with BOLT ON connections, not those slip on blade deals that can cause a poor connection.

Well my electrical problem turned out to be a loose connection on the ignition switch. I like easy fixes.
