Maybe a dumb question?

I've noticed a lot of people say their
's like to ride bow high. The bow on our boats sit deep compared to the stern, (especially on a singe 28), bringing the bow high when trying to plan. Some of us don't have the luxury of having trim tabs (or affording them). My question is has anyone ever bent the anode tabs on the back of the hull down a bit? I realize it would cause more drag but how would it be any different from one of those dolfins you put on an outdrive, my old boat had one of those and it helped tremendously.
