Some months ago, it was reported that Althouse had suffered a serious health setback. A number of people have reported not being able to contact him. There's been no definitive word on his situation or his company's since then. A pity, primarily for John but also for folks needing the hard to find parts he carried and the good knowledge he had of the boats
