Does anyone know where I can buy gas caps for my 1985 Marinette? One of mine is laying on bottom of our marina in Sandusky OH?

Don't remember which ones were used on the 80's M's, did it have the special key to open it? O===O like this? If you google Perko or Atwood gas caps, they have plenty to choose from, available from many different sources, heck even Walmart sells 'em

As I recall, they use a special thread as well.

You might have to replace the entire assembly.

Thanks for th quick respose. Yes the Thread is special and probably changing the deck fill is the best way. I found one cap at a Marina store that does apeear tight but all of the threads are not engaged.

Maybe you are missing a gasket?

Mine has a "o" ring in gas cap that prevents water from entering tank, that needs to be changed every once in a while.

I put on a new o ring that appears to keep it water tight, however as Jeff pointed out for some reason it is a special thread. I was hoping to find someone who might know of Marinettes being parted out. I am going to change
out the assembly. Thanks for your suggestions.
