I went the Masco route 4 years ago and they work perfectly.
1. You do not use any of the wiring on your current external regulator setup. Disconnect the wiring from old alternator and the orange hot line remove completely or insulate it and tuck it away.
2. Run new min 8 gauge wire directly from terminal on new alternator through a 75 amp fuse and connect to battery. bank.
3. Repeat installation for other engine and battery bank.
Done!
On these alternators they will not put out until your engine exceeds 1,000 engine RPMs.. so kick your throttles at start up and away you go.
They use the same size belt.
