Now I have all 4 of the stiffener extensions in place, 3/16" diamond plate on the uppers and 1/8" plate on the lowers. Then we added a shelf across the lower supports. Some old 3/8" gas line came in handy as chaffe padding on the side supports, the hose is re-enforced pretty well and it is certainly non-skid. I plan on laying a piece of 3/8" plywood under the tank to spread the weight out better than the hose can. The tank could weigh 300 lbs if completely full so the forward edge of the lower supports will need to be welded to strengthen them.
