Sent to USCG for Sirs,

I am seeking a list of non ITAR restricted government funded activities related to the development research and funding of consumer electronics bus architectures, including but not limited to NMEA 2000, Kansas State, OK State and other agency and USCG meetings, notes and researches on pleasure craft. I am not seeking military (e.g. CDA 101) nor USCG specific information, but rather a list of publicly funded endeavors and reports.

I am providing a list of public available information for marine electronics hobbyists like myself on the Marinette forum.

I would be very suprised if you get a useful reply. Generally you need to ask for very specific information under FOIA to get anything useful.

Very true. Specific comes later, getting a list of funded projects and initiatives tells us what might be available and who worked these initiatives. From that standpoint, we can access key papers. Additionally, government funded models and sims would be documented.

Most likely it's the same stuff I can find on IEEExplore, but it's useful to get an official list.

This may help. The following people were involved in the NMEA committee which developed the original version of the N2K standard

USCG R&D Bob Crowell
USCG R&D Lee Luft
