It'll take Devine Intervention all right!

Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs -- partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs." Booker T. Washington

That's what it would take: prayer. Lots of prayer!

Great time on the river, left the dock at 5pm and stopped by a private dock on the river for a few and back to port at 8pm. Used the spotlight to dock. It's not bad when your driving on the inside. Wanted run some gas out before the pullout on the 18th,

Stan:

We saw your slip empty when we came back from a run down the Ohio. She ran well until we came out of Montgomery Lock. (Only about 20 gallons left in the tank, and I think we burned up 10 waiting for the lock to open.) I now get an occasional clanking/scraping sound on the port side at anything over 1500 rpm. (No vibration.) It also feels like something is dragging. I can't see anything from the surface and it's too cold to dive. We'll find out next week when we pull her out if it was something we picked up in the lock. If not, I feel a wallet emptying.

I'll be around on Saturday to change the oil and get her ready to haul out. Stop by if you're around. I'm heading out of town on the 18th and we'll pull her when I get back.
