Caught this song called "Living In Aluminum" at the end of the movie, "Witless Protection". I thought of Norm ( Docsnow) and how he lives on his 6 months out of the year. Here are the edited lyrics: Living in AluminumBy Antsy McClain & the Troubs The message of this song, I hope, rings loud enough to be heard over the catchy music and driving rhythm. It was written about the trap of materialism, and how I needed to focus on more important things in life.
There’s a lot to be said about contentment; some folks never get enough. Let me ask you honey, which is better? A mansion full of money, or a Marinette full of love?
There’s a lot to be said about acceptance; liking who you are and having peace of mind. The secret’s being happy with your slip in life baby, and I’m pretty happy here in slip number 12B.
Living in aluminum.
I don’t need a house of vinyl. I don’t need a house of wood. There ain’t no better way to test your mettle, than in a semi-precious metal vessel.
There’s a lot to be said about conviction; Live the Golden Rule with God on your side. But don’t forget another code of living: The Aluminum Rule: Thou shalt enjoy the ride!
Having it all is like putting up a wall around you. You’ll be a slave to the treasure as you measure every nickel and dime. Soon you’re gonna see a big pile of debris surround you. And I’ll be sure and send you a postcard from Freedom some time.Living in aluminum. s rule. See the music video.

Dennis , The songs rings pretty close to home. As aluminum lovers , as no matter what it might be, we like the things that are close to us and make us happy. As a new member of this fourm , all the help i have received , I thank all for. Stuff is just stuff but friends and things of the heart will stay forever. Way to go dennis.. As for , Docsnow and the brewski's; Bud makes you wiser; Bud Lite makes you lighter and Wine coolers , well don't drink the things! T.N.X. Mark Trash66

And this just came in the mail this morning, you have to pity them with their glass boats.
Dear Abby, I've never written to you before, but I really need your advice. I have suspected for some time now that my wife has been cheating on me. The usual signs are phone rings, but if I answer, the caller hangs up. My wife has been going out with "the girls" a lot recently, although when I ask their names she always says, "Just some friends from work, you don't know them.."
I always try to stay awake to look out for her coming home, but I usually fall asleep. Anyway, I have never approached the subject with my wife. I think deep down I just didn't want to know the truth, but last night she went out again and I decided to really check on her.
Around midnight, I decided to hide next to the garage behind my boat so I could get a good view of the whole street when she arrived home from a night out with "the girls". When she got out of the car she was buttoning up her blouse, which was open, and she took her panties out of her purse and slipped them on.. It was at that moment, crouching behind the boat, that I noticed that there were some hairline cracks in my gelcoat, right where the hull meets the transom of my boat. Is this something I can fix myself or should I take it over to the boat yard to have it repaired?
