"...get a bubbler going to keep the ice from forming too tightly around those hulls..."
Cheap bubbler system that I saw work quite effectively in a frozen-solid creek: Use inexpensive fish tank bubblers (the heavier duty ones) and run weighted plastic tubing to the bottom. That will keep the warmer water flowing up and keep ice from forming. It may take several of those small units. The one I marveled at had a slightly heavier duty pulley driven pump. Find the stuff at your local aquarium. Or wait it out...temps will begin to rise in another week or so (except a little later in the Midwest).

I second that WOW !!! the reason we can’t see Ed’s BigM it’s probably moored the other side of his Mega yacht & that’s probably him taxi-ing out his seaplane for a afternoon flight over that fabulous terrain

Wow, good pic! I used to rent an apartment just off the left side of the pic. This is a pic of part of downtown Ketchikan. Lots nicer out of town. I bought a place 10 miles out of town and the boat is at a marina a couple of miles from here. Will see if I can find anything on Google earth and try to post it.
We get lots of bigwigs here in the summer. ( Paul Allen, Oprah, Paul McCartney,Harrison Ford,Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, Sinatra, and a lot of others have been reported here. )--Ed

FROZE IN SOLID!

Here in KY the marina is forze in and there is at least 2-3 inches of ice in our slips. I am next to the shore and back in the marina so no currect and very little wind. I am hoping that there will be no damage. I am not too concerned about the pressure.. our M's are tough. Most ice damage occurs when ice shifts.

Few years ago a bunch of owners rented Ice-Eaters but I have not seen any in the marina this season. Too late to worry about it now. 2 degrees here this am in North West KY.

I've an idea: Instead of looking a photos of boats frozen in and covered with ice, let's look at photos of glorious summertime!

I'll start us off.

Jeff,
What a great idea! I like your pictures too. Here's a couple from back in summer, the girl in the KY shirt is my 19 year old grandaughter & a couple of her college friends. 2nd photo should help.
