Guy on another web site just reported in from his first sea trial. Below is his reaction:

"Just got back in from a boat ride with the new Garmin GFS10 fuel flow sensors. Them 454s like to suck gas!!! At only 3400 rpm (24.9 mph) each engine burns 15.3 gph (30.6 total gph) and the Garmin says that is 0.8 mpg total. WOW, I have had this boat for three years now, and thought she burned about 10-12 gph at 3400rpm."

My buddy--the former engineer--used to keep careful records on how much gas his 454 burnt--claimed 8 GPH as I recall. No Flo Scan. Asked him how he came to that conclusion, so he handed me his log book: Gallons added, total time between fill ups... "Do the math."

Of course, he neglected to subtract warm up, slip running at idle, no wake zone running, etc. And he was an engineer!

You'll have bad times, but they'll just wake you up to the good times you weren't paying attention to

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know "why" I look this way.I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

OK guys, it's simple. The boat goes in the water, and the truck stays on the ramp. How did he get it the wrong way around.

It looks like the "Obama" was photoshopped in. He doesn't have a boat, too busy giving money away to people who are already wealthy.

..."too busy giving money away to people who are already wealthy."

If that's who I think you're talking about, he's too busy taking money from people who earned it and giving it to those who haven't.

AMEN to that brother. Just goofy in the head all around, pushes things that are unpopular and, ignores what we need to help the economy. Too political, sorry...

Think I see some rubber on the ramp showing a hard left hand turn. I think he was planning on putting it in reverse but missed the R and got F instead.
