Oz--my mighty PC--took a mighty dump last night. She (it has to be female, right?) got over her snit and has returned this morning, but you never know.... So, if I don't bother everyone with my usual, endless and irrelevant posts for a few merciful days, then Oz probably went blooee again.

Jeff

PS: Ordered a new one from Tigerduirect, in kit form. Am I nuts?

Jeff,

Setting up a kit PC is somewhat educational so do it. I built three from computer show parts. I built a media PC before they were generally available. A week after I got it running HP came out with a media PC that was better, faster and cheaper. It was the machine I wanted. What the heck I beat out HP by a week and it still runs - slowly. If I do it again I want an i7 processor, ddr3 memory and SATA 6 drives.

Don't do it for the money. Back in the 60's I customized my first rifle out of a war time mauser 98. By the time I finished I had more invested than the cost of a used pre-64 model 70 Winchester. If I had just bought the model 70 I would have two collecter items instead of none. I think these boats will be my last DIY project.
