On that same subject, does anyone know where to order roller assemblies for the sliding glass doors on a 32 footer?

The world's best screen door supply company:

Blaine Window Hardware Inc.
17319 Blaine Drive
Hagerstown, Maryland 21740
1-800-678-1919
1-301-797-6500
1-888-250-3960 fax
info@blainewindow.com

There are as zillion different roller/spring assemblies so you may have to send them your part to get a match or see if a photo or scanned image will do. I am not offering a site wide delivery service but Blaine has a location about 20 minutes from me and if a pickup is required let me know. We could trade services. You could come to Maryland and help me swap out my manifold.

Joel:

I'd be delighted to help you out. My problem with the door rollers is that, once I remove one to match it up, the door is off! (You have to remove the entire track to get the doors off.) I don't mind the bugs getting in as much as sticky fingers. I'm hoping someone out there knows the exactly model number of the door roller assembly so I can buy a few BEFORE yanking the doors off.

BigM I got an exact match from Home Depot. Take one with you. By the way dont do what I did. I removed the screen doors and replaced the rollers over the winter of 2003 and they are still in storage. Think Well one of these days..........

Did you replace just the roller, or the entire assembly? I'd like to replace everything since it's in hard shape.

Thanks!

Jeff: Feeling your pain(ful dilemma). Everything has to come out to get at the rollers. You will call yourself lucky if it's an item avail at HD whose stock of those parts is miniscule compare with Blaine. When you do get the roller part #, pls post it so some other site sob doesn't have to go through this again. Again, you may be able to email or fax Blaine a photo. Or, perhaps there is a screen dooor repair store in the boat neighborhood. You should be so lucky.

Eh? Sorry me bad. I got the complete roller assembly for the SCREEN DOOR from Home Cheepo. Now talking about the sliding patio doors, mine can be removed by running the adjuster all the up allowing the doors to drop. Than all you need to do is pick the door streaight up and out at the bottom to remove from track. Provided the adjuster arent froze in place.Pray

thank you , Joel. Manifolds aren't that bad. I did the starboard side 2 years ago. The trick is getting on the outboard side of the engine.

Thanks all. I'll do what I can to resolve this as painlessly as possible. With the weather kinda iffy, I may have to wait on it.

Be careful on the screen door rollers. The replacements I got are made of tinfoil. Too much adjustment and you round out the threads on the little screw doodad.

The sliding glass doors rollers are an interesting type. Mine were all stuck/rusty but a little PB Blaster and a little disassembly & cleaning they were fixed. If I recall it is just a bolt with a chunk of metal that when tightened rides up piece of angle like metal. This pulls the wheel up or down if loosened. Now the doors slide a little too easy.
After that I could actually adjust the doors and make them close evenly. This resulted in being able to lock the doors with ease. Don't have to worry about twisting off the key.
