Hey to U Capt’s that don’t own a Non-Contact Laser Thermometer, Harbor Freight has them on sale from Best @ $27.99 to good @19.99. They’re great for tracking down over heating problems to checking out the water surface temps. AnyWho I think it’s a every useful tool to have on board.Anxious

It is a good idea to get one with a built in laser light, I bought a lower priced one.[jeff] and it is kind of a crap shoot to locate a hot spot in a dimly light engine room with no red dot.

There are two types the infrared laser & the non-contact. I assumed all the infrared laser thermometers displayed a red dot Think

I bought (!!) one of those Harbor Freight units for the wife. She loves taking the temperature of things with it.
