As a first summer rookie BigM owner, I'm trying to look ahead to my winter project list. We decided to use her, pretty much as is for the summer, but I'm hoping by next summer I can make some good headway on upgrades. When I baught her it was winter and still winterized. I wasn't able to test the jabsco electric flush head. I was told it worked. Not so. Turns out the masarator pump is shot. I pulled the 37010 out and went back with a portipot for the summer. I'm hoping to put a full service head back in this winter. The 37010 bowl is still good. Can I replace the old pump with Jabsco 12ECM 18590-2094 and what size holding tank do I need. any thoughts will be greatly appricated.

Jabsco sells overhaul kits for some of its macerators. They are not hard to repair, pretty straightfwd. Let's put it this way, I could do it. Elsewhere it was pointed out that the macerator sometimes gets stuck and needs to be freed with a screwdriver, utilizing a slot on the outside at the front of the unit. There may be a cover over that slot.
