I am thinking of taking the wife and kids up to Cedar point. I am also thinking of bringing my 21' runabout to do some boatings. Any marina and hotel suggesions? Any other Ideas???

There are a lot of great options up here .. Check out Kotts Cabins (Mainland option, Marblehead area. I think it's East Harbor access..Marina is Channel Grove right next door. There is a tiny amount of info online compared to what's up here.. And the ones that are online are so so.. We found Kott's after getting ripped off at a place called Fiddlers Inn.. Kotts is infinitely nicer and WAAY cheaper..Just an example of what can happen..We stayed at Fiddlers Inn (found online) and after we got there and saw the , uh, accomodations, drove around and found a bunch of great places.. Kotts is cool... Nice, very clean.. Pretty inexpensive.). South Beach Resort, not as snooty as it sounds, Marblehead..These are on the mainland, at Marblehead, a 15 - 20 minute boat ride to Cedar Point.. Theres a hotel at Cedar Point, think it's called breakers or break wind or something.. Probably a little more Cha-Ching-y... Hope that helps.

Oh yeah, Baypoint, the marina we are in has cabins.. Right across the bay from Cedar Point. They do weekly rentals.

Don't forget to eat a yellow perch sandwich. My boat was previously docked right behind Damons rest. in Sandusky. Plan on spending some jing but you'll have a great family vacation in that area plus fire works every night at Cedar Point Best of luck.
