There's a thread in another section of the forum wondering how to adapt a 1" prop shaft to accept a prop designed for a 1 1/4" shaft. Here's a summary:

-- I have a 76 with twin 360's. The proper size prop is 14/11 cupped. I bought two spares, but learned that they were for 1 1/4 in shafts where i think mine are 1 inch. Is there something I can put on the shaft so these will work, or am i out of luck. Mike on Ohio

-- you can buy a nylon spacer to fix that since your shafts are 1 inch. Fastjeff

-- you can. I am running one on my boat.don't forget the special step key. They make them in brass to ,but i was told the nylon work better.so that's what I have and its working good. Tim

THE SOURCE:

--They sell them at www.henrysmith.com When at their home page in upper left side click on Products & Services then scroll down to Reducer Bushing. Norm
