I found a supplier of smoked (not bronze) plexiglass to replace my storm damaged windshield on the flybridge. This is Lucite 3/16" thick color #2074. He has six or seven 90" pieces that would span the front section and lots of pieces that would fit the side sections. $40 would cover the cost of the plexiglass. If you are interested let me know and I'll buy and cut a set for you. I have the pattern for a windshield and side sections to fit the early 1980's 32 FB.

How dark a tint is this? How wide are the pieces? tryin to find some like this for my aft cabin windows on the stern, I'll measure them this afternoon. Must be this material because of the bend in them. Thanks

Pieces for forward section are 16.5" x 96".
He has lots of smaller pieces that would fit the windows of an aft cabin.

Anyone know what type of plexiglass is used on the windshield of a 76 32 ft sedan? I need to replace my windshield.

Plexiglass is CRAP! Lucite is an entirely different material and vastely superior. Don't mix the two up or you'll be sorry.

I know the 1985 Marinettes came with Plexiglass up there since I shattered mine all to hell going under a RR bridge. The radio atenna hit the bridge, bent back and touched the windsheild, and that tap was enough to wreck the windsheild. Lucite would have survived.

I would think that Lexan or some other brand of polycarbonate sheet would be best. It is important that it be strong enough to support a person who falls against it, etc.

A 4' X 8' X 1/4" polycarbonate sheet is around $270 and comes in many shades as well as clear.
