Aligent has an excellent writeup on the use of their product on debugging CANBUS systems.

Not well. The Crusader Rep and Murphy Rep are working together. Murphy's replaced 2 Helmviews and rewired the harness. Doug rose's wiring diagrams are great. Thanks to Doug !!!!!! Crusader is coming out. Right now it's down to the ECU's.

I decided to rethink a couple of things and put the depth circuit on a www.newmarpower.com NewMar 12-12-35I DC power isolator/power conditioner and tie the murphys, depth finder and the radio into it. It'll be the high clean power circuit 20 amp continuous. Should/would have done it anyway.

I really wish that Crusader had screen shielded the J1939 Canbus twisted pair on the harness. The wires run parallel to the helm and back (a classic crosstalk no-no.) UTP is usually OK, but for a run this long a common mode CANBUS choke should also be used.

NMEA2000 has no such issue on the specified cable and doesn't ground loop (when isolated). It's just a much better cabling system versus J1939 Deutsch.
