I have ordered new aluminum window tracks for my 32 Sedan. Thanks Dennis for the how to!!

When I pull my windows I would like to get the side cabin windows tinted darker.

My options are:

1 -New tinted safety glass cut to match. $$$$$ very expensive.

2 -Some type of stick on film. (by some type auto glass retailer??)

3- ??? any suggestions

If you had any window tinting done.
What type?
Does it work?
How does it hold up?

Another question, what type of replacement screens are the best, metal or fiber screen?

Robert

If you perceive that there are four possible ways in which a procedure can go wrong, and circumvent these, then a fifth way, unprepared for, will promptly develop.

I removed the tint from my salon windows which probably been on the windows since 94. I haven't priced it yet but will probably take the windows to an auto shop and have them retint the windows. With the new tracks it wouldn't be much trouble to remove a troubled window and have it retinted.

To All,

I’ll reiterate this again. Be very CAUTIOUS in choosing the darkness of the tint Shame on you Especially if U
do a lot of night time maneuvering it makes it a B- t ch if it’s to dark of a tint. Ahh ha one would
say I’ll just open the sliders than one creates 4 total blind spots. Just a little heads up I’ve been
there with my last BigM Didn’t have a F/B

When the windows are open, the tinting is TWICE as DARK!

Keep that in mind.

One other thing about tinting film is that some day it will age and start to look pretty crappy. My wife and I spent a number of large number of hours removing old window film from our boat. The difference amazed me. I would never even think about putting anything like that back on the glass.
