Is there a procedure for testing the fresh water system? I have 2 toggle switches in my head attached to the bathroom counter facia. one is probably for the shower sump the other ?????. I don't know. The water system is self priming so I don't understand why I can't produce water on demand. I need help. Thanks

Do you have a "water system" toggle anywhere on the boat? Not sure how the 32 express panel is setup but I would guess there is a toggle either at the helm or if you have a separate power panel by the v-berth. I would expect the shower toggle to be on that panel too.
1 of the toggles in the head is probably for the macerator.
I'd have to take a look to see where the wires run to.

My water system toggle is above the lower helm.

I just expeirenced a short in one of the 12 volt lights, had the whole cabin light breaker tripping off. After checking 3 or 4 finally found it was one of the little spot, reading lights in V bearth.
I now have to find why the horn quit. Brick wall Always something!

The trouble with getting old, There is a lot of info in memory, I either can't find it or don't trust it if I do!

The horn mechanism gets water in it and gets all crusty over time. Just something to keep in mind depending how old the horn is.

both sump and water toggles are overhead at the lower helm. I would imagine that the switches act like a cabin light and activate in the head when needed. I have a macerator switch in the bilge that when switched on starts the process. maybe I should go out on the lake and play with that switch to see if one of those toggles in the head activates the macerator. when I turn on the water system and open a spigot I hear a humming noise but no water comes out. How much water must be in the holding tank for it to work? Dean

At least `1/4 full, and it takes a while to get all the air out of the system. Leave the cold water faucet furthest from the water pump wide open, and close it after water comes out without air burbs. You'll have to repeat this for the hot water.

I suggest you locate the macerator pump, hit the switch and see if that's what you're hearing. DON'T run it long or you'll fire the rubber impeller (which might be toast already).

That fresh waster pump may be toast too. If its original it is belt driven. The belt can dry out and break and the internal bellows of the pump can crap out.

Don't bother rebuilding the pump if it is junk. You can get a much better and quieter demand pump that is not belt driven. Shurflo and Jabsco are 2 brands of demand pumps. Jabsco family include Rule, Danforth etc.

I have 2 toggles for the macerator. 1 is overhead helm and other is in the head just under the sink on the front of the cabinet. If both toggles are in the UP position the device will run. If only 1 of the 2 toggles is up it wont turn on since they are wired in series.

What type of head do you have? Is the holding tank right under the toilet?
Some of those Traveler heads on the 32's had a 2nd holding tank under the v-berth. A macerator pump was used to move the $hit from the head tank to the 2nd tank and I would assume a second macerator was used to blow the $hit out of the boat.

Come to think of it your head is not near the v-berth so I'm not sure where the 2nd tank would be located if you have one.
I keep thinking you have the sedan layout. Brick wall
