OK All you guys smarter than me!! Go to www.dieselsecret.com and check this out .46 cents a Gallon for deisel fuel!! May try it in my farm tractor to see. I bought a boat the other day to resale. Belonged to a Marine Engineer who built it and took it from here to New York and back and was heading to the Keys. Was crossing the hyway and was hit by a car,was in coma for 6 mo. and is doing better now, has memory problems. Boat has 2 55 gal drums on roof full of vegatable oil , New. Must have been about to convert it for his boat, a 36 boatel houseboat with a 80 hp. Perkins eng and gen. Cruises 8 knts burns 3/4 gal per hr. I ran her about 70 miles to my docks. See her at www.sorrydog.com 36 Boatel Houseboat. I need to put abou 500 gallons on Sorrydog after she is hauled. Worth it?? Dangers to engine?? Treatment runs $100 to treat 600 gallons. Forget about it??? Wha Ya Tink, Deisel Doug??? Sorrydog

It's "diesel". Damned PCs are stuffy about mispellings.

You will probably be better off not messing with it, you will have more than that in it when you make it I have a few friends who have been playing with it. I daily drive a diesel and there is nothing cheap or easy unless you use a SVO kit even then you have to heat it. Trash is your main enemy, how do your engines inject the fuel? On the newer diesel trucks they are filtering down to 2 micron and filters ain't cheap. Check out greasecar.com for some SVO (straight veg. oil) and WVO (waste veg. oil). Why not use off road diesel not taxed and you can get normally get it delivered to you. Guy on M. Hill fills his old trawler that way.
