I am looking at both 37 ant 41 aft cabins and was wondering about the differences. Can anyone enlighten me on the real differences other than the 4ft.

Insurance and slip costs can be much higher over 40 feet.

I have the 41. It is great layout with plenty of room. I have mine for sale on the Marinettes Boats for sale site. If you are comparison shopping, I would gladly show you mine. It is at Lake Cumberland and is a great boat.

Is the 37' a Marquis? The Marquis hulls have more freeboard and are steeper, giving you more room for the aft cabin. The first 37' Marquis was made in 1988, I think. You can tell the Marquis from standard aft cabins by looking at the forward cabin windows. The Marquis have skinny windows while the traditional style has the taller, normal Marinette windows. The Marquis was the last revision before Marinette left the business. It is somewhat more refined. -Karl

Well the offer has been accepted. If the survey comes out ok then I will be done on a 1987 Aft Cabin. It is a nice clean boat with 454's. It does not really need anything but I am not good at leaving things alone. I can see new paint on the top deck and instrument panel upgrades on the near future. Interior updates will be happening ASAP. I will mostly be doing new curtains and stuff like that.

Hedgehog, Congratulations! That is a nice looking boat. I took a look at a 1988 37' Aft Cabin for sale in downtown Chattanooga about three months ago. It looked very similar to this one. I could never get my heart right - too tight on the wallet I guess, starting to squeak when I walk. Been eye-balling some 32's lately, but still have the same problem.....squeaky / cheap. John B.
