What a dummy! Had all the batteries out when I remembered the macerator pump--I had forgotten to pump some Pink Stuff through it. Grumble, grumble...

An item I did NOT forget, but may not be on everyone's list, is the shower sump. I drilled a hole in the bottom of mine years ago for a drain screw. Next comes some Pink Stuff followed by running the pump to flush out the water.

Mny thnx for the macerator and shower sump reminder - it was certainly off my radar screen. If the boat is on the hard and you pull the drain plug in the bilge, you generally don't have to worry about the main bilge pump - unless you have a loop in the line that may trap water.
Glad you caught the macerator service before you left for home. Long round trip for that one!
