Results of some shopping on the phone and web today:
Water pump for our Chrysler 318 fresh water (closed) cooling systems per Marysville Marine in Ohio is the Sherwood G7-B. They have in stock at $240.83.
Most other outlets are pricing them between about $320 and $360 so Marysville, an excellent source for Marinette/Chrysler stuff. On eBay, I did find one other close price but Marysville supports us so I think it's nutty not to reciprocate.
There are rebuild kits -major and minor - and instructions for the rebuild at the Sherwood site and other places. But, to me, it's not worth the effort. Maybe, when I pull the old one next spring, I will be tempted to rebuild. Or save it as entertainment for Jeff when he visits this part of the bay.
(Quick aside: the marina told me fuel had risen to $4.89/gal this summer in our neighborhood. I wouldn't have known since I got out of the harbor only once)
