This FaceBook thing seems to be taking off. Jeff won't add me as his friend, though :(

I added a group called Marinette Boats, in case anyone wants to join (I'm lonely in there) ;)

I never got into it either until yesterday. All you need is a valid email address.

It also has a snail-slow uploading system that knocked AOL off two times in a row when I tried to play a video I uploaded.

I guess I'll try this facebook thing.

If you perceive that there are four possible ways in which a procedure can go wrong, and circumvent these, then a fifth way, unprepared for, will promptly develop.

Be sure to read the EULA before you sign up. Note particularly the uses that they may make of your personal information. Be aware, for example, that there is a woman facing jail time on federal charges for using a fake name on facebook.

I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but I looked at these guys and decided that it wasn't for me...

That's probably going to be a tough case to prove - I just did a name search, and there is no less than 85 people named "Britney Spears" LOL :)

I should be her lawyer.... Case dismissed ;)

In this case, the lady faked being a teenage boy, and developed an on-line relationship with a neighbor's daughter, then said cruel things online. Sadly, the daughter killed herself.

The lady was convicted of computer fraud, a federal felony. The significance for me is that it is now a federal offence to give false or misleading information in violation of the licence agreement with a website. I do this all the time to avoid an avalanche of spam and junk mail.

I know that most of you on this forum think that I am a guy named Doug Rose. Actually, I am Britney Spears.

Just this morning it was announced that someone had hacked into Facebook and dumped a virus.

I'll be staying away from it for a while.

Jeff,

I believe that’s where I picked up a Trojan horse just before my P/C crashed but I think I picked it up off E-bay or Amazon while cruising for a good price on a out board to the tune of over $250 smackers d'oh!

Finally understand now. You're spending all your money on the boat and can't afford underwear.

From Facebook....

Holly LOVES the look that the Firestone guy just gave her when she declined an upgraded oil change. Seriously...it's a freakin' oil change!!! 12:10pm

Jut make sure he changes the air in your tires. You need to have "Winter Air" in there, this time of year, for better traction and mileage.

Are you messing with me?

No, seriously.... Ask them about rotating the air. They'll know what you mean.
