Looks like a Fisherman, right? The true C-C were great boats, but when they got bought out...Ugh! I hear they are back on the right track again.

Holy smokes!!! That is one hot boat. If they made a design like that today I bet they would sell. I'm betting the market is due for something other than the same old euro suppository style searay.

The same goes for automobiles, imo.

Sure a great looking vessel but it looks like C/C did a little copying from the Hinckey Talaria or it may be the other way around ? Think
I couldn’t afford that neighborhood but wish I could. Why was I born so handsome instead of rich d'oh!

Let's remember she's a 1957 Chris Craft!

Most of them had white hulls and this one is clearly better than new--white channels for the cockpit hatches--the factory didn't do that!

If I have the story straight, CC's chief designer was a refuge from one of the big (now much smaller) three. The guy was talented!

My best early memories are of spending time with my grandparents (see avatar, left) on their Chris-Craft, in the Chesapeake Bay in the early fifties. She was, of course, all mahogany. After more than a half century my mother still complains about the work of stripping and re-varnishing each year.

I was interested in the "new" Chris-Craft, and took a close look at one of their smaller models. At the Miami boat show one year, I went out of my way to get down to the docks for a quick ride to see how the shaftless drive works. I guess I didn't look wealthy enough, since they kept us waiting for an hour and a half on the dock and then shut down for the day while we were standing in the cockpit. Oddly, I actually had the money and was actually thinking of upgrading.

Now that I have owned a Marinette for some years I think it would have been downgrading.

This a beautiful example of craftmanship and style.

I have a '67 32' Express....and I can see my BigM in this Chris.......kind of like the poor country bumpkin cousin....or is it in my dreams!

Thanks.Drool

Beautiful craftsmanship.
A boat like this stirs something in the hearts of every boater.
I really like the new era of Chris Craft boats. They are true to the original heritage of great boat designers at CC.
I think Mr. Smith would be proud.

Jeff, can I borrow $800,000?

Doug,
Would like to come down & be part of your crew! I'll even buy a case of St Louis' best with my bail out.

Merry Christmas,
Roger
