Does anyone have experience with a trip on the Erie Canal? I am considering a trip on my 28 Fisherman
from Erie Pa. to Buffalo NY. east on the canal to the Oswego Canal to Lake Ontario
then around Niagra Falls back to Erie.

Make sure U go around Niagra Falls & not over them it may be shorter over them but not even a BigM can handle that sort of abuse. You'll have bad times, but they'll just wake you up to the good times you weren't paying attention to

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know "why" I look this way.I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

What a good idea! I no longer live there, but did live along the Mohawk River in Schenectady for a bit. My mother still lives in the Catskills just south of Ft. Plain, which is part of the system.

There is so much to see.

Have a look at http://www.nyscanals.gov/ for background information. Have a nice trip.
