This weekend I went down to the lady who is in dry dock and was truely supprised. When I climbed up and went inside, I found about 1 and 1/2 feet of water in the bilge. Before anyone asks, yes they did forget to pull the drain plug. But my question is, how could all of that water get into the bilge? We had rain, but I did not think that this amount would drain into the bilge. My drains on the back deck are clear.

Are you kidding? With the plug in, and without the bilge pump running, where is the water that comes in from the cockpit and etc supposed to go? I hope the water didn't get into the motors or freeze crack the bilge pump.

What Jeff meant to say is that most of the water does go out the drains...lots, though, literally falls thru the cracks including the hatch. A thin rubber gasket (such as the kind used to seal windows) with adhesive on one side will help a little there though it won't be a perfect seal
