I remember a post where some one used insulation in their front window canvas cover. I could not find it. Does anyone remember the post or the author?

RiverRatt,

Joel, is correct it is called Reflectix It’s readily available at places like Home Depot, Lowe’s & the likes. It come in 3 widths 48" 24" 16" X 25' L & price vary according to width but under $50 per roll. I went with the 48" W & used the remainder to insulate the sunny side of “Saloon” bulkhead plan on doing the rest some day. But I’m getting old & there’s a lot of screwing involved. Anxious Now for the rest of the story.
What I had done with the Privacy windshield cover was I used the original blue canvas one & had them sandwich in a section of Reflectix than they sewed white sunbrella on the opposite side that way I was able to use the existing snaps on the original blue one plus made up 6 little 3/4" w x 11/2" with reversed snaps so I could have the blue side up ? So far I’ve only did that at trial & have used the white side up.Works well reduces the radiated heat considerably when I post before I had some photos the differences in temps taken with a infrared thermometer it was on a mid 90* day with just the blue cover the it registered some where like 150* than with blue cover with a layer of Reflectix beneath it took another reading it read somewhere in the high 90*s than I just used the Reflectix & it gave a reading of mean temp of the mid 90* that’s why I went with the one side white. AnyWho that’s my ½ pennies worth there may be other idea out there
