Beautiful teak job!
If you want to do that work less often, I suggest at least several coats of Cetol (I think that is a Sikkens product) or the West Marine version of it. It may slightly shift the color but, man, does it ever protect the finish from the sun and elements. Cleans easily, does not attract dust like oiled wood, much better than varnish. When, usually several years later, it begins to wear, a light sanding and reapplication will do the job. Can you tell, I'm a fan.

(My teak is down to two little step pieces that lazy I now leave UNfinished and scrub with detergent when the mood strikes)

Joel,
I thank you for the "Cetol" suggestion, will look into that. This job was especially difficult as someone had put some varnish or something on these steps that I had to sand after bleaching. Still not 100% sure I got it all, but they are better than they were. They were pretty gray, only parts on boat not refinished.

Joel,
A question on "Cetol". Can I apply it over this teak oil when fully dry or have to wait till oil completly gone?

I think you can do it now. Check West Marine first - their stuff is cheaper and, I am certain, the same material. I say "cheaper" but it is still $25 or so/qt (which will last you a very long time since it's quite thin

I would not use any other product but Sikkens. The teak on my rag boat had to be oiled yearly, with Sikkens maybe every 3-4 years.

Thanks Joe, that's the brand Westmarine carries.

I do not think you can put it over a freshly oiled teak.
It's a water based polymer of some kind...smelled like floor wax.
