It has occurred to me that there is a fair amount of storage space behind the cockpit walls. I was thinking that if the wall was hinged at the bottom somehow, and latched at the top, then it could be pulled into the cockpit to reveal a box or bin in which stuff could be put. Has anyone tried this or something like it? Or maybe just install drawers to keep small stuff in, fitting between the structural members behind the wall?

I’ve installed a built in tackle box & a console glove /storage box type when I redid the 74 BigM about the Tackle box if someone (me) forgot to close the hatch there would be tackle all over the cockpit deck, Brick wall on the console type box it work rather well even if left opened good to keep flashlight a few tools & a small set of benknocs. But the price on them are high in my opinion @ about $125 @ for the amount of stuff one can cram into them Whistle

You'll have bad times, but they'll just wake you up to the good times you weren't paying attention to

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know "why" I look this way.I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.
