Norm,
Going to try my best to make it up this summer, remember Busch Light cans are the same color as your boat. You can be color coordinated for the summer. Safe travel's and boating from the crew of the URSUS.

consider a used one or an obsolete model...keep it simple and you should come out around $200 plus that fancy computer nav system you've always wanted.

Years ago I used to "marinize" laptops by taking them apart, painting the boards with Humiseal (used a lot by the military) and by sealing the connectors with Silicone Vacuum Grease. Just fill the connectors with the stuff, then put them together.

I think one of the solid-state netbooks with this treatment would work. Just get a laptop repair shop to do the work, they take these things apart all the time. I have been thinking of doing my eeePC but it seems to work fine in the damp without any help.....

Norm,
I have a Gateway w/ "Vista" that I've used on the boat without any problems. It was on board during our trip from Port Huron, MI to Peoria, IL about 21 days. It's been on board anytime I have. Maybe I've just been lucky! We generally have the A C on and moisture is not a problem in our boat. Knock on wood, my head! I've probably used up all my luck!

I have had a theory for many years.
You attend school until at least 25yrs old at that point you qualify for social security. The amount you receive would be based on the level of education you reached(this would encourage slackers to further their education). Then for the next 25 yrs you enjoy yourself, travel, build boats for fun, drink excessive brewski's & just what ever. When you turn 50 or so you get a job, go to work, put up with the usual BS of everyday life. By now you have had a chance to do your bucket list. As the old body starts arguing with you about doing somethings, you should have already done them. Settle down stay home watch TV @ night! :d/

Norm Have a great summer !!

What!!!

Just like my SS check, by the time I'm old enough to draw one, if there's anything left to draw, they will change the rules and put me back to work! I should have expected it. :-(
