My marina is installing a new strut and I want to be sure they use the right stuff[ as they mostly work on fiberglass boats.
Is it Trilux 33 that should be used?
That already put a primer on - should they have used a certain primer?
THANKS FOR ANY INFO! Garyh

Gary: Trilux 33 is a proper antifouling paint for these boats. But make sure the marina installed a non-metalic cutlass bearing in the strut or you'll have pitting. Peter 1981 32' sedan bridge twin Chrysler 360 cu. in. 250 hp engines Raw water cooled Nimbus II Home port: New Buffalo, MI

I assume they already etched and epoxy barrier coated that strut BEFORE putting the anti-fouling paint on? Hope so. Jeff "...reality is not nearly as lovely as the world of Liberal Land. No wonder so many people want to go there." - Tom Sowell

Thanks for your info.
They had it sprayed with a gray primer. Then I called to remind them to use the trilux 33 and they had it already sprayed with the trilux 33 - didn't know it came in a spray application.
