Any opinions on using AwlGrip topside paint on a bigBigM ?????

I understand it's best put on by professional painters.

Anyone used it??? Did it yourself???

DOn't know if this still holds true but when I had my boat painted with Awlgrip 10 yrs ago, the painter described it as a "harder" finish paint and said Imron had a "softer" finish. Whatever that means.

Awlgrip does hold its gloss for a long time.

A 1969 42' Chris Commander came into pur marina for an over-night before going down to Put in Bay......the guy that was restoring it for the owner said that that's all he uses...the bright work was beautiful and the deck and cabin looked brand new....

I have it on my Big M. As long as you follow the instructions (anti-corrosion mil spec, epoxy primers, and epoxy fillers) the job turns out great. If you are not a professional painter, consider using the roll on version which uses a thinner that evaporates slower so the paint can level before crosslinking.
