Need a clue. Bridge search light switch is suspected to
have run its course on my 1986 Sedan Bridge. Anyone
know where I can find original equipment switch? Any
help much appreciated.

I just checked my bridge spotlight and it too is not working. The light will come on but the directional switch will not move the light. Guess I need a switch also. The lower switch works fine.

Check the wiring. It may be a few loose connections. Keep careful track of the many wires it takes to move the spotlight up/down/left/right.

If interested I have a Jabsco light I replace with a new on my 32'. It is a wired remote approx 2.5" dia. with a 5" spot light. I do not know if it works. I replaced it with a dual contol spotlight.

I just had this exact problem. I determined that it was not the fly bridge switch by swapping the lower station switch and still had the problem. I cleaned all the connectors with contact cleaner (including the connectors behind the main panel on the fly bridge, the ones at the modules, and the ones at the lower station. The problem then resolved itself.

Also, mine has switches on the main deck to switch control between the stations and you have to have that switch set to the upper station to make the fly bridge control move the light.
