The Ohio river was so full of logs that anybody in the right state of mind would not even attempt to go out. Spent most of Saterday clearing the log jamb out of the slip and from under the boat hope no shafts are bent.

That sounds like what happens on the Chessie after a few days of major rainstorms; they open the Conowingo Dam on the Susquehanna River and down comes a huge mess of debris. The result, a few years ago, was a floating debris field ten miles long by a half mile wide--you could damn near walk from one side to the other on the logs, pieces of wood--even a floating shed!

I have replaced more props and entire outdrives this year than i did in the last 3 years here in Knoxville, TN. seems all the rain we've had is really clearing the banks of old fallen trees. And they like to float down the middle of the river.
