So roll and tip it is.

Now I need to find someone in the Chattanooga area that wants to do it. My fall is pretty booked.

I rolled and tipped the hull of my '69 sedan this spring....
it's all in the prep. Sand, prime, Sand prime, sand roll and tip, sand, roll and tip.
Rolling and tipping with 2 part paint was a breeze. Roll a little, tip a little.

Tipping removes the turds left by the roller and the paint just flows back together when "tipped"
Next year the cabin and deck...Year two of my four year project...

I didn't have to remove all paint as the surface was pretty good to begin with.

Well after looking at a number of other projects, I have decided to do it. At least try it in stages.

I was thinking about starting out with some of the blue stripes to see if I can get the hang of it. Heck, it is getting painted anyway.

I have had good luck with Interlux products in the past so I am thinking about starting with that.

We have been painting ours in sections this summer using Interlux topside thinned with interlux 333 and it has worked out fantastic. It's been said before, it is all in the prep work. We goofed in a couple of areas and had to go back over them. Don't skimp on the etching or primer you will regret it in about a month. rolling and tipping is easy as long as you don't try to cover too big of an area 3' x3' max. good luckDrool

And be sure to paint away from of the sun if possible. Also, it's good idea to practice a bit on a junk surface.
