I have reverse cycle heat on my boat. Has Anyone tried to get this to work in the winter? I was thinking that if I used my winterizing drum (plastic 16 gal with a fitting at the bottom) with several gallons of antifreeze in it and hooked the input and output from my AC/Reverse Cycle to it I MAY be able to get it to produce heat. My thoughts are to use fish tank heaters (1,2,3 of them maybe??) to keep the water warm or even an infared light bulb shining on the drum... (Maybe BOTH) Anyone have any thoughts comments or suggestions about IF this would work or whatever Let me know. I WANT to try this unless someone can talk me out of it!! Hahahah

Thanks
Bill

sounds like a waste of time and energy. a space heater would be much better.

I agree a waste of time and energy!

The easy way is to get a pick up one of those register hot fluid heaters for cabin. They do not pull much power and no elements to cause a fire.

Do not use in bilge! The thermostats etc are NOT iginition protected!
