I have a 1989 32' sedan bridge I am preparing to sell. It has FWC 360's w/ 300hours, Radar, color GPS, 6.5 Westerbeake genset, fully enclosed flybrigde w/ radar arch, rear deck redone, International epoxy barrier coat, new props, cutlass bearings, etc, etc.... Any suggestions on what it is worth?

Sounds like you have a nice M.
Boat market is very soft and M's have been under valued for years.

You will be sick to hear this.. but I have seen simular boats on the market sit for years when priced under 30K!

I cannot give my 29 away and it is almost as nice as yours.

I contacted a broker earlier this year to ask how the market was and what he realistically thought he'd be able to sell the boat for and after doing some research told me that if I wanted to move the boat I should consider an asking price of 29K.

That doesn't match at all with the asking prices I've seen on yachtworld.com, but who knows if any of those are selling.

I sold my '85 Express through freshwaterboats.com. The boat sold quicker than I hoped. Ask for Pam and tell her Dennis from Georgia sent you.

Because of the soft market and the number of 32' sedans available, you need to have the right photos and the right venue.
Study the current listings for 32' Marinettes and you will see a huge difference in the quality of the pictures in the listings.
Before you take the pics, get rid of all the excess crap! Make it look like the new owner could step on the boat NOW with his family and feel like it's their boat, not a sloppy previous owner. You'll be surprised at some of the pictures you find. When I was looking to buy a 32' seadan, I searched the main brokers like yachtworld, bucnet, boattrader, yachttraderonline, etc. and I was shocked by the poor quality of the pictures and the descriptions. I remember one listing included a picture of the galley with dirty dishes in the sink and an overflowing garbage can. WTF?

During my search I drove past a 32' sedan on the hard that had been on the market for years, but did not come up on any online search I did. It sat unsold for years after that because the broker's website was so archaic that even a simple search of the words "Michigan marinette 32' boat" would not find it. No wonder it sat unsold for years.

BTW, I found mine on freshwaterboats and then bought it from the owner through his listing on ebay.

I plan to list my 1988 32 at the beginning of next year. We haven't used it enough the last 2 years to justify the fixed costs of owning a boat.
