The people who made the original windshield wipers (motors, et al) for our '88 sedan were Cleveland Ignition (ClevelandIgnition.com). When I dealt with them a couple of years ago, the contact was Susie, 800-362-1214. I didn't purchase a motor, just the replacement innards and it took a 3" wiper shaft (for 23 bucks). The units are type WWF (important info).

They delivered promptly and were knowledgeable and easy to work with.

Been working on the wipers on my 1966 BigM rebuild. Don't know what's going on with my wipers but the the thread does not extend to the outside so that I might get the seals on them. Close enough so that if I plane the trim board down it would fit. I think I took the motor off when I got the boat. Scratching my head.

I bought something else, non wiper, from those folks. Can't remember what but I did remember saving a lot of wampum.

Thanks for the reference.

They make a variety of auto/truck/rv stuff. Can't say they were "cheap" but their stuff is well made and well-regarded industry wide. My guess is that your orig wipers may have come from them.
(FYI: this post is by Joel Albert - at this moment, the site is not letting me log on but weirdly, will accept a post from "Guest2" when it should not because I am not authorized to post. Strange)
