If Lake Erie does not thaw soon.....

Sitting here waiting for a @*%$ lake to thaw so I can sea trial the new boat sucks. Also trying to coordinate with trucking companies to get it shipped here when I can’t even give them a date also sucks. Very shortly I am going to scream.

Oh well I got that off my chest….. I feel better now.

Anyway if I can get the pictures to attach here is the new baby

Welcome to the club anchor! I'm new myself. I'm lucky enough to have had mine on the hook a couple of times now. The anticipation of summer is killing me. We are currently having the interior remodeled and I will post before and after pics in about a month. You must be pacing the floors and banging your head against the wall. Hold on buddy it will soon come! Pray

I thought about the Cruise it home idea but after charting Port Clinton OH, to Louisville KY, it looks like it would be about 1800 miles and the time spent and fuel thing just kills the idea.

Port cabin entry and starboard lower helm--1984 and older, right? We looked at an '85 and it had the opposite layout.

Welcome aboard. Boat looks great. I too am in Louisville with a 91 32SB. One of the last ones made in the ville. I dock at Harrods Creek Village. Nice spot under cover. Where will you be tying up? I have some great friends here who know Big M's well being the home town and all. I am actually going down next two days to begin spring clean and who knows may even get out next week if river cleans out soon

Yes it is at Midway, on blocks in the yard. That is the cool thing about Marinettes you find people all around the country that have seen and reconize your boat. In five years with a Carver Aft-cabin no one from anywhere has said I think I know that boat.

I was lucky this boat is in great shape most of the wood in either original and in great shape or was replaced last year. Engines and gen are very clean.

No visible leaks in the cabin and the hull is straight. So I hope there will not be a lot of work to do to her once she is here in Louisville.

I think I tried to look at that one at Midway a few yrs ago. There was a nasty hornet nest somewhere on back of the boat. Drove me away before I could get on board.
The boat did look pretty nice.

Good luck with her.

I like it! We brought ours home from Detroit last summer only it's a 1979. Yours looks like it has the original exhaust manifolds on it so you may want to check them for cracks during the sea trial. I'm not going to tell you how I knowShhh

Aquaholic,
The exhaust manifolds are original so checking them is defiantly on my mechanics list. Hope to see you this year. Trips to Cincinnati are on tap this year.
