well as a newbie i needed more space. ding, when loaded was taking up whole platform. when empty was still small(read my big butt). anyway decided to have one made. have a plan for fastening using 316 hardware. so question is what type of anti corosion spray should i use on fasteners 6013, that number is close, aluminum alloy. any other suggestions? BTW, i tried to load pics but sats file is to large. i'll try to get ahold of my "guy" to find out how to make them postable

Isolate the new aluminum from the old with plastic spacers since 6013 isn't as corrsion resistant. You'll need to etch, barrier coat and paint as usual.

so your saying painted mating surfaces are not good enough. and plastic bushings on all bolts?

Plastic spacers would be superior.

wow, fially able to log into site, i was gettin nervousSick .
anyway, on isolating the bolts. would that plastic coating, used for dipping your wrench handles, work? or,liquid electrical tape?

I’ve haven’t ever tried either product U’ve mentioned but with shrink wrap the bolt come out consistent in size like I used 3/8" bolts with shrink wrap shrunk down with heat gun over the shank of bolt than I believe used a 27/64" drill bit but drill size may depend on thickness of shrink wrap wall thickness. AnyWho it worked out for me Anxious
